Groundplay Therapy Works was created
by a group of passionate, committed occupational
therapists in order to work with children and adolescents
in the greater Portland community.
Occupational therapy is a collaborative process between the therapist and caregivers
involved in order to reach the best outcomes.
Groundplay serves children and adolescents with a variety of challenges including Autism Spectrum Disorder, sensory processing difficulties, balance and coordination challenges, visual motor and fine motor challenges, difficulties with self help skills, as well as emotional and behavioral challenges.
We personalize services to the needs of the individual and family, which may include home and community therapy sessions. Through a variety of strategies utilizing functional tools, permanent changes are made.
The work of children is play and through play work is accomplished and progress is made.
